Balancing Practicality with Relaxed Style

Project Background:
Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane, under TFE Hotels, combines the convenience of apartment-style living with boutique hotel comfort. The design focuses on clean lines, functional spaces, and durable furnishings that meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers. Our task was to supply custom furniture that aligns with the hotel’s ethos of relaxed sophistication and long-term reliability.

Challenges & Solution:

1.Sofa 

Challenge: The client requested a modification of our existing sofa bed model into a fixed sofa version, requiring a frame with a 5+ year warranty. Additional challenges included meeting Australian fire safety standards for foam, while using client-supplied fabric.

Solution: We quickly adapted the design drawings and delivered a pre-production sample that met all specifications. The frame was constructed from reinforced pine wood, with extra supports at key stress points to ensure longevity and comply with warranty requirements.

2. Coffee Table

Challenge: This table required an inset quartz stone top with uniform seams under 2mm. The quartz also needed to pass a 24-hour stain resistance test.

Solution: Using laser cutting and robotic welding, we achieved a consistently precise frame. The quartz was cut with CNC water-jet technology to minimize size variance, and sourced directly from a trusted supplier to guarantee stain resistance and quality.

3.Lounge Chair

Challenge: Based on the client’s design, the unique curved T-shaped backrest presented molding and production difficulties.

Solution:  We developed a custom mold specifically for this part, enabling accurate and repeatable production of the distinctive backrest design.

Main Materials: Solid Pine Wood (frame reinforcement), Custom Quartz Stone (stain-resistant), Client-Supplied Fabric (fire retardant foam compliant with Australian standards)
