For pure solid wood furniture, if the surface paint is well done, after the water recedes, the furniture can be aired immediately, and an electric fan can be used to speed up its drying. Although it may be deformed, most of them will return to normal after the moisture content decreases.

As far as panel furniture is concerned, particleboard has a certain degree of water resistance. If the soaking time does not exceed 20 minutes, wipe it dry quickly to discharge the water vapor, and the problem will not be too big. However, if the time of soaking in water is too long (for example, the surface of the furniture is well-oiled and can withstand soaking for 1-2 hours), the rainwater will definitely soak into the glue joints, and if the board swells, it cannot be repaired.

If you have handmade furniture at home, there are many problems that need attention. If it is a custom-made cabinet during decoration, the material is mostly a large core board. The oil decoration is thin and there is no professional edge sealing technology. The quality of the splicing is not as high as that of the finished furniture. It can be air-dried by blowing with a fan, but the effect will be greater.
